Coodes Solicitors, one of the oldest and largest firms of Solicitors in Cornwall, continues to expand to maintain our focus on client care.

To enhance our service to clients across the County, and promote the development of specialist services in all areas, we have appointed five new Partners and three Associates:-

In the east of the County, our new Partners are Kevin George and Richard Pollock who deal with property, and tax, trusts and charity matters respectively. Alongside Andrew Marshall, newly appointed Office Supervising Partner and Dispute Resolution expert of Launceston office and Property Associate Lisa Robinson, we believe we have one of the strongest professional teams in the East of the County.

Meanwhile in Mid and West Cornwall, commercial property expert Christian Wilson and Wills, tax and probate specialist Louise Southwell have been promoted to Partner and Associate in the Penzance office. In Newquay, the office benefits from a new Partner, Lucy Bryant, working alongside Senior Partner, Mike Gregson in the Criminal Department and Julian Tyson, well known Family and Mental Health specialist has been promoted to Associate.

Trainee Nick Foote qualifies in the middle of March having completed his training with Coodes. Nick will stay on with the firm in the Commercial Property Department in Truro. He will work alongside Head of Department Allison Bunney.

The 13 March is the Gala Night for the this years Duchy Ballet performance. This year the performance is of "The Snow Queen" and "Stepping out to Gershwin". This promises to be another successful performance. This year we are jointly sponsoring the Gala Night with Worldwide Financial Planning.

We are very pleased to sponsor The Last Night of the Proms at Carnglaze Caverns near Bodmin in support of Relate. Relate is an organisation which we have formed close links and assist in providing training for its volunteers to assist them in giving invaluable advice to those going through the traumas of relationship breakdown.

Again this year we will be at Expo West at the Royal Cornwall showground at Wadebridge. This is a show case for the Cornwall Leisure, Tourism and Food Industries. We are pleased to be a part of this important industry to Cornwall.

The firm's Commercial Department is planning two seminars the first on The Alternative Investment Market and the second on E-Commerce. The former is aimed at businesses considering investment through the alternative investment market. The second is aimed at the very many businesses who now have their own websites which can be used effectively to generate business. There are however significant compliance and regulatory issues that must be considered for the owners of such websites. further details will be provided in due course.
